10 Habits That Are Costing You Wedding Business Clients

10 Habits That Are Costing You Wedding Business Clients (click link)

Hey everyone! I'm back! I've been researching on how to build a better bridal business and came across this article I thought would be perfect for my readers. Before I decided to use my make up skills as a business I did mainly Brides! Well looking back on it which it's been some years ago. I now know some things that I did wrong in the Bridal business. In 2011 it's so much more to just doing make up for a wedding. 1. What are you offering your Brides? 2. Do you consultate with your bride prior to the date? 3. Are you offering any type of discount to the bride for a certain amount in her party? 4. What are some of your marketing ideas for reaching brides? 5. Do you follow up with the bride after a consultation just to make sure you all are still on the same page? There are so many things to consider when trying to please a bride to be! I've just listed a small amount of things to take into consideration. But much more to be explored. I will try every week to do a column on Bridal business. I find that bridal business is a booming business for MUA's when handled correctly. Any comments? Leave below! XOXO

Urban Decay Review & Swatches

Hi Ladies! Today I am doing a review on the new NAKED palette by Urban Decay! There is so much I want to fit into this blog about this palette! OMG I can't say that I have a palette that the colors are all so comprable to one another.

The color pay off is excellent! OMG the colors are so velvety and rich and just so full of pigmentation. I really just don't know how to put it all into words. It also comes with two eyeliner pencils and a minature primer potion. Alot of people may say that it's expensive. I beg to differ! For 12 eyeshadows, two eyeliner pencils and a minature primer I think your getting a lot of bang for your buck! Especially with the colors being so rich and velvety. It doesn't take alot of product to achieve an awesome look.

This palette is excellent for profesionals and non-professionals all the same. I also think that this would be perfect for achieving that back to school look for high schoolers and college student's as well. Also an excellent palette for the office professional woman looking for a nice office look. The colors can be mixed and matched so well that everyday the professional woman on the go can create a look that will take her from the office to the happy hour! Like I said I could go on and on! This pallete could also be turned from office, school look to club look! If your looking for a universal palette, a palette that allows you to be suttle but yet sexy all at the same time with great color pay off! This is definitely the palette for you! I've reviewed other palettes and none can compare! Atleast not now! Whoever created this pallete is a freaking GENIUS! So need I say more!? GO GET YOURS TODAY! XOXO

Pink and Brown eye look

Hi everyone! Im back with another tutorial. Today I did a Pink and Brown inspired eyelook. I've been wanting to try this for some time now. So I had some time on my hands today and decided to give it a try!

I think that pink and brown together makes a hot combination! With these two colors together you just can't go wrong! All the colors I used are all Matte colors. There is something about matte colors that I'm just drawn to. It's almost like I see just the true pigment of the color. I really can't describe it but I'm just facinated with matte colors. I like the shimmery ones but matte's are my favorite.

Also in this video you will see that I used my finger to apply the first coat of brown. I like to use my fingers from time to time to just gjve the colors some appeal and appearance of almost airbrushed. Once again something else that's hard for me to describe but you know where I'm coming from. Lol. There is a part in the video where I'm applying and blending the under eyebrow color. I dont know what happened to the clip of me showing the color but I just wanted to make sure I let you all know that I did use a shadow up under the eyebrow.

Here is a list of products used:

Too faced eyeshadow insurance-lid primer

soft ocre-eye base

120 pallet-Both pink shadows and first brown application

Hip duo eyeshadow(poppy)- 2nd brown used

Wet N Wild color icon(lust)*Top left hand corner* - Underneath eyebrow

Contour & highlights:

MAC NW50 & NC37

NYC Matte powder bronzer

Blush:Wet N wild in Goddess

Highlight above blush: MAC Belightful iredescent pressed powder

Eyeliner: Loreal Hip cream liner

Mascarra:Kiss

Lashes"Ardel Daisie's

If you have any questions please feel free to ask. XOXO

NYX Natural Nude Kit Review

Hi everyone I'm back with a review and look today! Yesterday I went to Ulta and ran across NYX natural nude kit. I think that its very similar to their other pallets. One thing I like about NYX shadows are that the color pay off is great! The colors are so pigmented and glide on nice and smooth. They are also very blendable and with such a variety you can't go wrong.

When I was recording this video I was just sort of creating as I went along as I usually do but this pallet has such an array of colors that they all are easy to apply and blend with the other colors in the pallet. This pallet could very well be used when going to church, interview, school or just an everyday office look.

If you are just getting into make up this pallet would be a neccesity! Also if your having a problem finding neutral pallets as I did when looking for the Naked pallet by Urban Decay it would not neccesarily replace it but it would do just as well.

Hey everyone! I know once again I've gone MIA! Lol so sorry as usual. But today I've decided to do more blogging. For those of you who follow me on You Tube know that I'm starting a segment on Beginners Basics! In this segment of video's I will be helping, teaching and showing beginners the basics of make up. In this blog and video segment I've listed some basic items that can be purchased from the drugstore or Beauty supply store to get you started. I hope that these items are helpful. The items I've listed should be fairly reasonable in price. When purchasing drug store foundation you need to first figure out if you are looking for full coverage, light, medium or semi full coverage foundation. I personally prefer semi to full coverage. If you are unsure about your shade maybe purchase 2 to your liking or what you think comes closer to your shade or complexion. Alot of times you can go on websites for the drug store brand and they will have comparisons to expensive brands. So please check online first just in case your unsure. For the eyeshadows I would suggest starting with Loreal Hip's eye paints, duo eyeshadows and cream eyeliner. I think that the price is reasonable and with the duo eyeshadows you have more than one eyeshadow to begin with. With the cream eyeliner you can use as a shadow base(for smokey eyes) and as well as a liner for both your top lid and your waterline. With the eye paints these too can be used as eye base's and primer or just as a shadow. The paints are very similar if not just as good as MAC's eye paints so give them a try. If you have little to none make up brushes start with elf brushes(www.elf.com) or pick up some from your target or beauty supply store. Start off with synthetic first and once you get the hang of things you may want to start purchasing real animal hair brushes. Master the basics and cheaper brands before investing in good quality brushes that you may mis-use and later have to throw away first. If you are not a blush person or really don't know how to use blush but like it on others I have a "How to apply blush" video on you tube so check it out! I hope this video and blog will be of some help for you all. Stay tuned there are more blogs and video's coming in the Basics segment.
