Make Up Artist Kit/Traincase storage

Hi everyone I'm back and today I wanted to show you all my new make up artist traincase. I found this duffle bag on wheels from ebay. I can't remember the sellers name but if you'd like it I will check my ebay for you and post it.
If you follow me on twitter you know that I've been trying to down size my traincase. Well this is not quite a down size but it's some what smaller than the mini suitcase I've been carrying to gigs. It has two side pockets and a pocket on the inside as well. It also is on wheels which I love being that I'm OCD when it comes to carrying more than what I need to shoots and gigs.
I pretty much was able to transfer everything from the mini suitcase to this duffle bag so I'm assuming its about the same in size and depth. Also if you know me you know that I'm in love with animal print. I don't neccesarily wear the clothes but shoes and bags and wallets are definitely my thing! So when I saw the pink and black zebra I thought it was great and would work for my make up. I have tons of other kits that I could use but I've out grown them which I'm sure there will be a point in time where I will out grow this one as well. But for now it shall do the trick!
I'm still working on downsizing my traincase. Today I went to Michaels and bought some containers to help me do this. As a freelance Mua Michaels is a great place to get storage items for your traincase along with stores such as Walmart and Target. So for the meantime this is my traincase and until I grow tired of this one it's a keeper!

Urban Decay Review & Swatches

Hi Ladies! Today I am doing a review on the new NAKED palette by Urban Decay! There is so much I want to fit into this blog about this palette! OMG I can't say that I have a palette that the colors are all so comprable to one another.

The color pay off is excellent! OMG the colors are so velvety and rich and just so full of pigmentation. I really just don't know how to put it all into words. It also comes with two eyeliner pencils and a minature primer potion. Alot of people may say that it's expensive. I beg to differ! For 12 eyeshadows, two eyeliner pencils and a minature primer I think your getting a lot of bang for your buck! Especially with the colors being so rich and velvety. It doesn't take alot of product to achieve an awesome look.

This palette is excellent for profesionals and non-professionals all the same. I also think that this would be perfect for achieving that back to school look for high schoolers and college student's as well. Also an excellent palette for the office professional woman looking for a nice office look. The colors can be mixed and matched so well that everyday the professional woman on the go can create a look that will take her from the office to the happy hour! Like I said I could go on and on! This pallete could also be turned from office, school look to club look! If your looking for a universal palette, a palette that allows you to be suttle but yet sexy all at the same time with great color pay off! This is definitely the palette for you! I've reviewed other palettes and none can compare! Atleast not now! Whoever created this pallete is a freaking GENIUS! So need I say more!? GO GET YOURS TODAY! XOXO

Pink and Brown eye look

Hi everyone! Im back with another tutorial. Today I did a Pink and Brown inspired eyelook. I've been wanting to try this for some time now. So I had some time on my hands today and decided to give it a try!

I think that pink and brown together makes a hot combination! With these two colors together you just can't go wrong! All the colors I used are all Matte colors. There is something about matte colors that I'm just drawn to. It's almost like I see just the true pigment of the color. I really can't describe it but I'm just facinated with matte colors. I like the shimmery ones but matte's are my favorite.

Also in this video you will see that I used my finger to apply the first coat of brown. I like to use my fingers from time to time to just gjve the colors some appeal and appearance of almost airbrushed. Once again something else that's hard for me to describe but you know where I'm coming from. Lol. There is a part in the video where I'm applying and blending the under eyebrow color. I dont know what happened to the clip of me showing the color but I just wanted to make sure I let you all know that I did use a shadow up under the eyebrow.

Here is a list of products used:

Too faced eyeshadow insurance-lid primer

soft ocre-eye base

120 pallet-Both pink shadows and first brown application

Hip duo eyeshadow(poppy)- 2nd brown used

Wet N Wild color icon(lust)*Top left hand corner* - Underneath eyebrow

Contour & highlights:

MAC NW50 & NC37

NYC Matte powder bronzer

Blush:Wet N wild in Goddess

Highlight above blush: MAC Belightful iredescent pressed powder

Eyeliner: Loreal Hip cream liner

Mascarra:Kiss

Lashes"Ardel Daisie's

If you have any questions please feel free to ask. XOXO

NYX Natural Nude Kit Review

Hi everyone I'm back with a review and look today! Yesterday I went to Ulta and ran across NYX natural nude kit. I think that its very similar to their other pallets. One thing I like about NYX shadows are that the color pay off is great! The colors are so pigmented and glide on nice and smooth. They are also very blendable and with such a variety you can't go wrong.

When I was recording this video I was just sort of creating as I went along as I usually do but this pallet has such an array of colors that they all are easy to apply and blend with the other colors in the pallet. This pallet could very well be used when going to church, interview, school or just an everyday office look.

If you are just getting into make up this pallet would be a neccesity! Also if your having a problem finding neutral pallets as I did when looking for the Naked pallet by Urban Decay it would not neccesarily replace it but it would do just as well.

Hey guys! Im getting better at my blogging. Tonight I'm sititng up and I'm scrolling through FB and Twitter and I see most of my counterparts(MUA's) had alot going on this weekend. So I really noticed this on Friday but just continued to watch and observe. I asked myself why am I observing and not BUSY!? Why dont I have any gigs lined up? It's wedding season for crying out loud. So once again I started pulling long hours on the computer and researching, googling and back and forth between the two sites and ofcourse my lovely You Tube. Some You tube videos on branding yourself I had watched a thousand times over. One particular Guru I watched hasnt been on YT in months but has posted to fb and has been busy so I felt maybe her insight might be of some help. One thing that she said that I took and thought that I had learned was to trade services with phtographers. Well honestly and I'm just being honest....hey it is my own blog I can say what I'm thinking right! As I was saying honestly I did that! So it got me to thinking well maybe I didnt do it long enough. I traded services for a little while with photographers didnt I? Wasnt that enough? I've networked right? So I thought it through thoroughly and realized maybe I gave up too easily with the trading services. I guess I looked at it like this....I've invested so much money into my kit I needed to see a return and quick. So I stopped going on Model Mayhem, I turned down free gigs and basically was waiting for work to fall in my lap. I'd participate in a few but really didnt want to do free gigs. Also I shoud mention this particular guru's make up seemed to have gotten better. Not that it wasnt good to begin with but each pic seemed more and more detailed. Then it came to me! PRACTICE! Whether she was doing free gigs or paid gigs she got the practice! Also I assumed that with a few trade gigs she developed a repore(sp) with some models, photographers and stylist or whomever and began to get paid gigs. So I realized that sometimes you have to do things for free to gain knowledge in your skill and also work. So I decided to go back on Model Mayhem and search gigs even the negotiable ones and Tf/Tfcd and just see if there would be something that I was interested in. Needless to say I responded to a casting call that was paid but the photographer contacted me back saying that it had ended but he liked my port and would consider me for future gigs. Well within a day he inboxed me back and has a gig for me this weekend! I was excited until I realized my anniversary is this weekend but I worked it out and now I have work! Heuleluah! Lol This industry is rough at times but it's my passion and I love what I do. Like anybody I get discouraged at times with it but even though I want to give up something inside of me says keep going, keep striving, keep researching, keep googling, keep practicing and just keep going! I hope this can help someone. Also if there is anything that you'd like to add to this please do so. Also if you may have any suggestion for me on how to obtain work I'm eager to listen and also learn! Have a great evening! XOXO

Cover Girl Queen Collection

Ok so I had the pleasure of reviewing the Queen Collection by Cover Girl. I will say I was reluctant at first because my local CVS pharmacy did not have an array of colors and I personally thought that the colors looked nothing close to my complexion. So one day I'm cruising through You Tube and ran across someone's channel and they just swiped above their eyebrow with the Cover Girl Queen foundation. I instantly noticed how smooth and creamy it appeared. The Youtuber also used a bit of the bronzer. BRONZER!? Did she just say BRONZER! So now at this point I must go get this and test it out for myself. I searched and looked what would be a good match for my complexion. I know that I have salmon undertones which are some oranges in my skin so I found what I thought would be an excellent match. Sure enough I got it nailed! My complexion number is Q510. It went on very smoothly and a creamy consistency. If I had to compare this foundation so far right now I would compare it to MAC's Studio Tech. Its creamy and can be buildable as needed. If you are looking for a full coverage foundation as I stated it could be buildable and add as much as needed but remember not too much! It goes on flawless and gives a nice glow to the skin. I used my sigma F80 brush to apply but this can easily be applied with a sponge(which is included in the case) or you could use your fingers to warm this product up to spread evenly and thin out as needed. Another great suggestion if you find that this is too creamy or too much coverage try adding a bit of fix plus to a sponge or brush and thin out as much as needed. As far as the bronzer goes it was great as well. If your not really into blush it could be used as a sunkissed appearance to your cheek area where you would normally put on blush. If your of somewhat of a lighter complexion you could also use it to contour or sculpt. Being that I thought the bronzer was great I went to another CVS and they had more of a range of colors and I found that that particular CVS carried more colors than the CVS closest to my house. So I got a darker bronzer and I use it for contouring on myself. Are you in need of a MAC replacement? Are you on a budget? Have never tried foundation and would like to give it a try but need something reasonable? Well I would definitely suggest The Cover Girl Queen Collection! Give it a try and let me know how you like it! xoxoxo YoShida

Inspiration for today!

Ok so today it's snowing once again!! I can't believe all this snow we are getting. But being that I'm stuck in the house I chose to get creative.. So I made me an inspiration Board/Collage to go in my new make up /studio room. The room is still not painted, decorated or done. But for now I'm storing some of my make up there and it's still a closet room! I'm trying to decide whether or not to let it be both! But with slim funds I'm thinking that it just may be both! But anywho so I made an inspiration collage to go in it hoping it would give me the incentive to start the painting of the room. I have so many ideas that I want to incorporate in the room but I've been snowed in for almost a week and can't get to work to make any money to even make half the process come to life. But oh well in due time and I'm glad that I dont have the money because being I'm a compulsive buyer/shopper I may go and get anything so in the meantime I'm researching tables and desk's and things of that sort to add to the room. Plus I know I'm not working with alot of space nor money so it gives me a chance to browse before buying. Ofcourse browsing online. With my inspiration collage it let me see that anything can be done on a budget and I sort of cheered up being that the snow had me down!!

As I was doing my collage I just thought of all the places that I want my business to go and how to get there and the steps I need to take to get there. Whewwwwwww!!! Can you say so many!! But like I said before I know it will come! I try and keep my faith and my spirits up and just press forward and onward. For money sake I've done my own promo/comp cards. But wouldnt you know I ran out of ink!! So when work picks back up I have to get more ink to finish the job!! Now to find a amateur Photographer to team up with to get my portfolio going!! My hubby takes great pics but our schedules are not always in sync plus I really need something more professional. But he is the next best thing! He takes wonderful pics! Im trying to convince him to go to photography school or take a course so he can make it into a business and we can work together! Yanno keep it all in the family and all the money in the house! Lol

So until nextime!!.......I'll Holla!!
